Join the Old Tappan
Youth Council
Why You Should Join
Joining the OTYC is not only a way for you to get involved with your community but also to develop leadership and teamwork skills from a young age and understand the town government while gaining volunteer hours. Joining the OTYC is a way for you to make a difference and directly engage with local government.
“It's not just you and me. I want there to be a we. It's our teenagers, it's our student body, it's our community. And I want there to be a spirit of warmth and acceptance and compassion that we have to stick together to make the change. I want this to be a catalyst where students do really think, ‘oh, maybe I could really make a change’ and not just in Old Tappan now, but bring the spirit on to wherever they end up in college and in different parts of the world.”
- Joseph Hwang, OTYC Founder
